Its located in the middle of Amman ,known as Jebel Al Qala’a , once you enter the site you will see the pillars which are the remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, the temple was built during the time of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius on AD 140, once you pass the archaeological museum you can see the Umayyad Palace which is dating to the Islamic Umayyad period on AD 720 , in the south, you can find the remaining part of a small Byzantine Basilica dating back to the 7th century.
