Itinerary

Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo – Dead Sea - Amman

Upon your pick-up location in Amman and the time to start the tour, you will be picked up and start visiting:

Madaba city is located 33 km south of Amman. Its known as City of Mosaics and important Christian pilgrim’s route including Mount Nebo and Jordan River to Jerusalem.

It is now inhabited by Christian and Muslims a like and an example for religious tolerance between Christian and Muslim in Jordan. In Madaba you can start visiting Saint George church which is the most important church in the city . it was built in the 6th century with its various mosaics map with two million pieces of Cleary colored local stone showing depiction of Jerusalem and parts of the Holy Land back to Byzantine times. Also, you can see the Archaeological Park, to the remains of several Byzantine churches, including the amazing mosaics Church of the Virgin Mary.

Then proceed to Mount Nebo which It’s about 20 minutes’ drive from Madaba city, located in the south west of Amman city, where prophet Moses ascended to view the promises land, which God had said he would not enter.

According to Christian tradition, Moses was buried on the mountain although his place of burial is not specified. Mount Nebo is a popular stop for pilgrims and tourists, after Pope John Paul II visited the site in year of 2000 during his pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

After your visit you will start going down between the mountain to Dead Sea where you can spend the rest of the day to explore and to have the experience of floating in the lowest point on earth’s surface which is about 385m below sea level, and the World’s richest source of natural salts.

Then start going back to your location in Amman.
